Deodoro Sportive Complex, in the West Zone of Rio, has Olympic standards installations. Due to the Pan-American Games, modern centers for competitions of Horse racing (training, complete competition of horsemanship-CCE and jumps), hockey on the grass, modern pentathlon (shooting, fencing, swimming, horsemanship jumps and running), sportive shooting (riffle, trench, pistol and skeet) and bow and arrow, were officially opened in the area.

Deodoro Military Circle, traditional installation of the Brazilian Army in Rio de Janeiro, should shelter bow and arrow, horsemanship, sportive shooting, modern pentathlon, mountain bike, slalom canoeing and BMX cycling competitions. The Radical Park of Rio will be built, inside the complex, for the three last modalities. The new place, a legacy for the young population of the area, will continue being used by the radical sport trainees after 2016’s Games.
